Nick formed Canoryon Lowen with his wife Jenny in 2002. Previous directorships have included the Loveny Male Voice Choir (of which he is President), the County of Cornwall Male Voice Choir, Liskeard Operatic Society, Tamar Youth Jazz Orchestra. A former teacher and headteacher, Nick’s last post before retirement was as Head of Educational Professional Development in Cornwall. Most recent work includes writing and producing 'A Daughter's Tale' and in 2013 'The Midwinter Cantata'. In 2016 his 'A Story of Cornwall' won the Gorsedh prize for composition and performance. Great Circle was performed in the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, who commissioned the work. His current work in development is Letters from Australia.
In 2013 Nick was made a Bard of the Cornish Gorsedh for 'creativity in Music'. His Bardic name is Ilewydh Sen Neot (Musician of St Neot)
